The weekly bag– Feb 13
No excuses except that I was busy watching reruns of Sanford and Son. The weekly bag too too late:
- Augmenting Java with Assertions- An older article (newer than disco though) but it’s about assertions– so it’s worth a read.
- Mock Objects: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly- Alex Ruiz does a great job here!
- Becoming a Better Programmer- What would the weekly bag be without a link to Artima? Nice advice– “Learn other languages.” I can’t agree more, man.
- Maven 2.0.5 Released- If you can play within Maven’s box, this is a fabulous build platform.
- Getting Code Coverage Without Tests …- As you can see, in VSTS, it’s rather simple, man.
- Tackling Java Performance Problems with Janino- A great java.net article on an interesting compiler library for Java.
- Generating documentation from code with Team Build- Ayman Badawi is a blogging machine when it comes to VSTS.
- Quantifying Complexity: .NET vs. J2EE- Wow, what a quote: “if the customer chooses .NET, the price is 28% less than if the customer chooses to build the same solution on J2EE.” That’s interesting, but not as interesting as the first comment!
